All patients undergoing a surgical procedure will encounter an out-of-pocket expense. This is due to the physical cost incurred by the practice for resources such as suture materials, dressings, bandages, plaster, and associated equipment, including sterilization, which cannot be covered by
any Medicare rebate. These fees are required to be paid at the time of the procedure and can be advised in advance by the GP / reception team.
All patients will now have the option of a telephone or video-conferencing call with their doctor.
Your doctor will allocate a specific appointment time to call you. A Telehealth appointment is similar to a standard GP appointment, offering the same level of care and attention, but conducted over the telephone or through a video platform. Spirometry is a type of pulmonary function test. It determines how well your lungs work by measuring how much air goes into and out of your lungs when you breathe. It also tells a healthcare provider how strong your lungs are and how well you breathe.
The Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) is a non-invasive diagnostic test performed to determine the severity of peripheral artery disease (PAD), a condition of narrowing or blocking of the arteries in your legs or arms. PAD also elevates the risk of stroke and heart attacks. The ABI is determined by comparing blood pressures in the ankle and the arm. A lower ABI value indicates the presence of narrowed peripheral arteries. This essential test helps in identifying and managing PAD, enabling timely intervention to mitigate potential complications.
