Dr. Fonseka graduated as a MBBS doctor from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and moved to Australia in 2008. Dr. Fonseka obtained fellowship in General Practice in 2011 and received Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney in 2016. He has sixteen years of GP experience in Australia. Dr. Fonseka is an examiner to RACGP fellowship examination and an excellent supervisor to GP Registrars, junior doctors & medical students.
Dr. Sadia Afrin is an overseas-trained doctor. She has been diligently serving as a General Practitioner in Mildura since December 2014. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She is interested in all aspects of General practice, with special interest in:

Dr. Randika Halwatura completed her Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Kathmandu University in 2010. Previously she worked in the Emergency Department at Campbelltown & Camden Hospitals. Dr Randika is currently undertaking training
for Fellowship with the Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Dr Randika enjoys all aspects of General Practice but is particularly interested in women’s Health, Acute Medicine, and Paediatrics.
Brett McKinnon is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Brett completed his undergraduate training at Deakin University in Melbourne and followed up with his Masters of Nursing (Mental Health) also at Deakin University. Brett completed a subsequent Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) at Monash University in Melbourne.
He has 30 years of experience in Psychiatry and has held clinical and managerial positions in both Acute Care (inpatient, crisis teams, and emergency departments) and General Practice providing Mental Health Nurse Practitioner services.
Brett has also held education positions with Deakin and Monash Universities teaching students to master’s level. Brett has developed RACGP-accredited training courses for GP training across Australia.
Brett provides clinical services at Silverline Health Care.
Dr. Sashini Jayaratne, a distinguished MBBS graduate from the University of Kelaniya (2007) and MD in Community Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine, Colombo. Her career includes significant experience as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Melbourne, with a focus on lung health.
Dr. Sashini is passionate about general practice, emphasising preventive health and women’s health.
Dr Afsana Jahan completed her Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from Bangladesh in 2019 and has worked as General Physician in Al-Helal Hospital, Bangladesh. She moved to Mildura in December, 2021 & fell in love with the area. Dr Afsana is interested in all aspects of General practice, with special interest in Acute Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Adolescent Health, Women’s Health and Sexual Health.
Dr Afsana is multi-lingual and available to consult in languages other than English; Bangla and Hindi.
Dr Akter completed her MBBS from Sylhet M. A. G. Osmani Medical College, Bangladesh, and has since gained valuable experience in both general and specialized mdeicine. She is passionate about providing comprehensive patient care, ranging from preventive health to managing complex conditions. With a commitment to continuous professional development, Dr. Akrter has undergone advanced training, including life support, ECG, and woman’s health. Her empathetic approach and dedication make her a valuable addition to our team, ensuring the highest quality of care for our community.
Dr Katie Thompson graduated from University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2009, and achieved Fellowship as a General Practitioner in 2014. She has worked in a variety of settings over the course of her career including tertiary hospitals, general practices, ski-field medicine and as a Visiting Medical Officer to small rural hospitals.
Dr. Thompson takes a patient-centred approach, with special interest in Chorinic Disease and Preventive Health, Palliative Care and Women’s Health.
Dr Thompson attends Wentworth Dristrict Hospital regularly to provide inpatient services. She is please to be able to offer medical services to the Wentworth community and take on a supervising role for doctors in training at Silverline.
Dr. Nadeesha Bandera is a committed General Practitioner originally from Sri Lanka, now residing permanently in Australia. She earned her MBBS in 2010 and has since developed a broad expertise in general practice, acute medicine, and anaesthesia in Sri Lanka. She has continued to expand her skills in Australia through various observation roles.
Dr. Bandara has a particular interest in chronic disease management and geriatrics, fuelled by a desired to offer thorough and empathetic care to the community in Wentworth, NSW. Her commitment extends beyond patient care to continuous professional development, ensuring she delivers the most current and compassionate medical service to her patients.
Dr. Pav Arewatte, a dedicated general practitioner with over 22 years of experience, earned her MBBS from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2997. She holds postgraduate qualifications from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine in Colombo and the University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Arewatte specializes in aged care, chronic disease management, rheumatological diseases, adolescent health, and women’s health. Committed to her profession, she plans to continue her practice in Mildura, embracing all aspects of general practice with a compassionate approach.
Dr. Grace Pang completed her MBBS and Advanced Medical Science degrees from the University of Melbourne in 2008. Following her internship at Mildura Base Hospital, she has been practicing as a General Practitioner since 2011. Dr. Pang has a keen interest in women’s and children’s health, skin cancer, preventative care, and chroic illness management. Her diverse medical experience includes roles in detention centres, mobile healthcare services, and participating in overseas mission trips. Additionally, Dr. Pang is a committed advocate for women affected by domestic violence.
